  1. Concept 1:

I definitely there is a great need for to improve the photo library.

My fear with C1 is that a little bit of everything turns into a whole lot of nothing. That process is likely to have several different "managers", which would make proper upkeep more difficult than it needed to be.

The core idea of C1 -- utilize numerous resources -- is essential, though. I just think it may be better applied in a more focused manner.

  2. Concept 1 -

I think concept 1 would directly address the issue and significantly improve the Owen photo library. It makes a ton of sense to streamline the current system and link it up with social media, etc to enable easier access/content.

I agree with Daniel, however, that maintaining and updating the new library could be an issue. With these proposed improvements, it seems that a relatively significant time commitment is required for upkeep. Finding the students to consistently do this might be an issue.

  3. Concept 1: I think there are a lot of very good ideas in this concept that will address the issue at hand. However, there are some ideas that appear to be at odds with each other e.g. the first point is good at reducing the volume of the photos, but by reducing the photos, you are also making them "less accessible".

  4. Concept 1: I like the part of sorting out photos, and maybe this task could be assigned to the photographer or photographers that Owen hires to register its various events, instead of using undergrads. I've seen a couple of times in the events' slideshows that there are four or more takes of the same scene, from which only one is the best (due to its color, feel, light, etc.), and the others should not be there. On the side of keeping the photo library updated, you may appeal to the VMA members or other students interested in marketing and advertising.
